Social Life?

To what extent does your social life involve other cyclists?

Mine, probably 75%. Though among the few close friends I met through cycling, the bike is often low on list of things we talk about.

Met my husband through cycling- I guess that counts as social life.
As far as what % of social life- aside from family, cycling is about 90% of my social life (sad but true...)

Social life, what's that?

Maybe about 30%. Family and work make up the rest

I'm not in to it like I used to be, therefore it's not
as social for me anymore. I've met a lot of wonderful
people through cycling. I have to admit my social life
was more exciting when I was riding.

Lately about 50% of my social life includes other cyclists. The other 50% might ride a bike occasionally or do some other type of activity on a regular basis. And sometimes some of my non-cyclist friends will come with me on a bike ride.

I would say that my cycling friends compose at least half of my social life.

I thought cycling was social?

I want to go camping with VeloGirl.

Quite a bit. As 'all consuming' as riding/racing is, it tends to displace your previous activities as well as displacing non-cycling friends. A team environment promotes team activities both on and off the bike.

Another sad statistic, cycling is my life.
